Eye issue on peep or peck wound?

OP, I remember reading your first thread here when you rescued your hens from work and went to a ton of work and trouble to give them a good home. Is this one of their babies ? BTW, I loved that thread.

Yes, chicks are from my rescued bunch.

If it got sand in the eye, it could possibly be an infection, such as E.coli. You could take saline and wash the eye out. I sure hope it gets better in a day or so.

got lost in utube land. Eye worms come from chicks eating roaches maybe other stuff. Didnt stay there long. Seems to me like vetRX treats a few different eye problems.

Made a warm saline solution. Flushed the eye then held a saline-saturated paper towel folded into a compress on the eye. Repeated quite few times. Took a few more pics...caught the 3rd eyelid in action too...

In one pic there is a red area at the bottom. She might have been pecked there. Hopefully with your good treatment she will start getting better soon.

I first thought pecking because the eye was perfect yesterday.
