Eye Problem ???

Hello all,

This is a new one for me. My rooster has a growth in one of his eyes and it’s blocking his vision. It’s not bothering him, but what the heck is it? Eye worms?

I hadn’t either. He seems fine otherwise.

If it were eyeworms, you'd see them "swimming'' in the eye.
Try flushing the eye with saline solution, then apply terramycin eye ointment in the eye.
Are there any respiratory symptoms?

That's the great part of knowing a person's location, getting members in the same time zone for faster response. Would be nice if it was "mandatory", saves alot of guessing. Ok, I'm off subject ... Sorry

It appears to be pus covering the eye, at least what I see in the photo. I would try pushing on the tissue around the eye to see if that will push the pus out from around the eye.

Then a good flushing with saline and then treat twice daily with terramycin.

No respiratory symptoms. I have some saline and eye ointment, so I will try that. Thank you!
