Vetropolycin HC is a perscription eye ointment used to treat animal eye infections and eye ulcer and scratches and also has steriods in this medicine. Terramycin is a eye ointment to treat mild cases of eye infections with out the added steriods. It shouldn't be a problem useing Vetropolycin HC until you are able to purchase Terramycin. Long period use of Vetropolycin HC is not recommended because of the steriod.
