Check her ear out with a Q-Tip to see if the drainage is coming from there. Eye and ear infection can be due to respiratory infection. Antibiotic eye ointment can be used on both eye and ear. With ear infection, I would clean out with hydrogen peroxide, then dry with more Q-Tips, Fill ear canal with Neosporin or other antibiotic ointment. Some respiratory infections if not viral will respond to antibiotics in the water. Tylan (tylosin), Gallimycin (erythromycin,) and oxytetracycline are helpful on bacterial or mycoplasma infections.
I checked out her ear. It is tiny. There is no way I could get a q tip in there without hurting her. I couldn't see much gunk in the little part of the ear that was visible. Is this likely to be contagious? Thanks
She is now nearly blind. She bumps around her cage and isn't eating or drinking exeps when I syringe feed her water/antibiotics/ACV. Is there anything I can do to help her the discharge isn't from her ear. It looks almost like a skin condition. What should I do?
