Arwen, who had been grazing, noticed something in the distance and lifted her head. Her eyes widened, and she began to gallop over to Horus as fast as she could, her tail streaming behind her. "Horus, darling, what happened?" She asked, looking him over.

Iah snickered in the cool morning air and the flames along his spine danced erratically.
Even for being a halfblood the weather affected him greatly, between the wind and the constant change between warm and cold. On Ashfall it was always twilight, an endless warmth and no great breeze, minus during the some of the awe inspiring storms.

That was most of what he remembered now, after being thrown from the vortex into this realm of, of sparkles? He really didn't know what this realm was. Odd to say the least.

Pigment black as ink seemed to be creeping at an alarming pace from a particular bite wound on his neck, that appeared inflicted by a massive beast's jaws, the skin on the edges of the wound quickly becoming necrotic.

"Rescued him," he uttered, indicating with a swish of his tail to the little black pup that sat next to him, it's head cocked and it's endearingly childish, yet piercing red eyes gazing up at Arwen. "T-ake c-care of him." Horus wheezed before falling unconcious from blood loss.

Arwen breathed shakily, looking down at Horus. "Oh no..." She breathed, before looking over at the pup. "Stay here!" She said, before taking off to the dogwood she used as a place of thought. She quickly found the dragon's scale he had given her, then galloped back to Horus as fast as her legs could carry her. Arwen stopped right next to him, gently placing the scale on his wound. (If you are wondering if I made this up, I did not.

duckluv's dragon stopped by and gave Arwen a magical scale from him body to help her heal wounds.)

Arwen, after putting the scale upon Horus, looked over at the puppy.

He went into a fit of coughs when the scale touched his marred flesh, and the strange, black pigmentation that was radiating from the wound and spreading had come to an abrupt stop, but not yet disappeared. Horus tremored for a moment and breathed shallow, rattled breaths.

The pup yipped sharply and his paws shifted uneasily. "Why isn't he moving, lady-horse? What's wrong with him?" his youthful, trembling voice rang through Arwen's head telepathically. He was clearly too young to understand.

Arwen walked over to him, and nudged him with her muzzle gently. Do you have a name? She asked.

"Ember," he replied, his voice muffled through his paws, his eyes falling downcast.

"Ah, Ember, that's a wonderful name." Arwen said kindly, a motherly tone in her voice.
