Facebooking my peas

Yikes- Soooo... sorry- but thanks for sharing, as it is a sobering tale of caution we should all heed. So you can hope a life is saved now, from the precious life lost. Molly

there are quite a few of us on this forum that use tractors and other equipment.

I am on FB a lot. So many friends in my community and across the country are, too. That is how we stay in touch because you can write stuff and people catch up with you when they can. I have a page for my farm and one for me personally.
I like that I can just post general info on my news feed and not have to talk to each person individually. They get to it when they can and with my farm they share with their friends, which brings me more friends!

Facebook, the Evil Empire, lol, I would suggest reading the fine print before signing up and be prepared for it to take a long time to de-activate your account if you ever decide to do that.

As much as I am opposed to the government getting into my business (like that could never happen!) I haven't anything to hide from on FB. Unfortunately, my life is an open book.

I don't think it's the government you have to worry about with FB, as much as the way that companies are trying to make money off of your information. They track every thing that you look at, who you know and how you know them, who your friends know, where you come from and what you like, what your friends like and what they look at online. Of course, nobody can actually assume that anything they do online is "private," but going on FB seems to just be an invitation to a whole world of strangers collecting and analyzing information about you, for ultimately who knows what purposes?

Please don't think I'm being paranoid, it is very easy to find out how your information is being collected and sold if you investigate.

Anyways, that's why I don't use FB!

To each their own!

LOL I am paranoid but not about FB, for some reason. I have other paranoia's.

I suppose I already live with the knowledge that nothing I do is private anymore.
Hmmmm, maybe I am not paranoid enough!
