Looked like 6 won't hatch (1 or 2 didn't develop, the others were definitely blood rings), and 3-5 I couldn't tell. The rest seemed pretty healthy.

Of the controls, 3 are going strong, and 1 never started.

I will say, for shipped eggs, it's not too bad compared to my broody clutches. Yes, apples to cantaloupe here, but out of a dozen under one of my hens, I'd probably get between 7 and 9 chicks, so following that, 18 would probably be about what I'm seeing so far, out of eggs that weren't jostled nearly as much or as old (not saying yours were old, Colt).
I'm honestly more shocked my one control never even developed. But I just grabbed the 4 cleanest eggs that I'd neglected to grab for a while, so it might have been pretty old.

That’s not awful on shipped eggs. I think Jessie had the most fertile. But she was closer. You and AMM had the farthest and are about the same.

I think. I put them on their sides last night and will start turning in a couple hours, probably will rectangle tonight

No, I'll be happy as long as I get 3 to hatch. Anything else will just make it even better

Said screw it and candled tonight. 6 BBS developing 1 nothing, 3 chocolate developing 4 nothing, out of the 13 from my birds 12 are developing (makes me happy the booty trims and breeding pen helped)

My candler on my incubator does not work for the araucana eggs. They must be too dark too. I candled one with my phone out of curiosity and it seemed to be going strong. Didn't look at the rest, as I'm just so busy this week, I'm exhausted by the time it's dark enough to candle.

A little more than 8 days though left, I believe.

Tomorrow or today might be the least busy days I have until Friday night. Thursday is gonna absolutely be a no go, I won't be getting home until like six or so, so I won't be done with everything until almost bedtime.

I found a flashlight that works on my gemstones really nice, so I'm hoping it's strong enough for the araucana eggs and I can get some pictures when I candle next time.

That's one of my favorite stages too. Used to have my profile pic being a candling of about that stage. Day 3 has to be my absolute favorite though. Nothing like seeing a little heart beating. Miracle of life right there, never ceases to take a breath away

Neighbor checked eggs last night, she pulled 2 quitters. 4 buttercups and 2 araucanas left. 8 days till hatch.
