Rancher-I'm impressed that you would do so something so intricate as that square. I look forward to getting one.

You ladies playing w/ the simple granny w/ a twist inspired me to try one.

It turned out great thanks.

While it does take a lot of yarn it's not really intricate per se. There is every crochet stitch there is I think . SC , HDC, DC, and TC. I just wish they looked as nice as the pictures. This goes for all the squares I do. I think they use a thinner ply yard so the details show up better in the photos.

I've got either done. After a few squares I can remember the pattern rounds.

Writer-That is adorable. If you find a model, it would be a great picture.

Your yarn preference may have something to do w/ such a "full" or "thick" stitched pattern. I find the Vanna's choice to be thicker and fuller or stiffer then some others. I would try that pattern w/ a softer yarn, you may be happier w/ the finished block.

Even though I have all the squares for the swap finished I am crocheting additionals for a total of 30 for a blanket, I did an official count last night and only have 4 to go!!! wooo hooo

How's everyone coming on their squares???
