Oh no they stole my edit button!

I took the three boxes of squares (Alethea, Lacy, and Bleenie)'s to show Judy (my MIL) She was sooo impressed w/ everyone's squares, she is already asking about the next swap and figuring how she is going to make her squares "fancier" next time. lol lol lol

Well, I FINALLY finished my "hurricane afghan", the traditional 5 round granny square scrap afghan I've always wanted to make. Here it is:

All that work and I still have enough scrap yarn to make 2 more!

It is beautiful and has a story to boot, can't beat that.

That's awesome! those kind of afghans always remind me of the one that sat on the back of the couch on the show "Roseann". Was so funny in the episode after they won the lottery and refurnished the whole house she wasn't happy with it and Darlene pulled the afghan out and put it on the back of their fancy new couch to make it feel like home again.

i loved that show, obviously

These are my favorites to do. For some reason they remind me of my grandmother. Very homey and warm. And afgan and a cup of tea and a good book. aaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

11 done.

That is so pretty, when I was about 8 my adopted Aunt made me one and I still have it. and treasure it so much. I really wish I could crochet I just can't seem to get the hang of counting the stitches.
