Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Ours went well but was hectic, we made food for this house and for my mothers house so there was a lot to do. I had to come back home for a little bit after everyone showed up... too many people too much going on for my anxiety to deal with! Dad's GF made a turkey last night for work(ER staff) so i brought the leftover carcass home and turned some of it into homemade dog food, cooking the rest down tonight to make more.

the first batch made nearly a month's worth of food for my Chihuahua (about 5 days worth for a big dog). Not a lot of room in the freezer so I think I am going to donate some of it(for people's pets). Tastes like turkey stew

I generally avoid all stores like the plague on Black Friday, but this morning when I got off work I decided to ignore my common sense and go to Hancock fabrics. I was thinking w/ all the frenzied electronics shopping the fabric store would be a good way to get my "toes wet" w/o getting the over whelming "Black friday" experience. First of all I have never seen so many people in a fabric store all at once in my life! Secondly my little $4.00 savings on a yard of fabric didn't seem worth standing in line waiting for the 12 people in front of me to get their cart full of fabrics (I am being literal here) measured and cut. So I walked out of the store w/ the same things I walked in with. I will gladly pay my $4.00 extra next week when once again the world makes sense and I am the only customer in the store.

I decided I needed to experience this too one year to see what all the hype was about. I was older and supposed to be wiser, not on that day, but I will never try it again, that is just total madness that is to me not worth the penitence of savings.
