I guess it doesn't mean much in a little town like Mt. Shasta, which has a half dozen crystal shops but can't support a shoe store. There was some kind of display of snow machines on the one business street. That was it.

Oh no they stole my edit button!

At my age I know that Black Friday shopper are buying things they don't need and/or will never use. The one year I went was for a printer and Walmart had loads of them. $25 Then I found out Target had a better one for $39 and I went and got one of those. I donated the $25 printer to the kids former school computer department.

I don't need much and besides I just watched a show that said don't buy everything/anything on black Friday cuz you can buy it cheaper after the holiday. Well most things anyhow.

Heck most places I shop send me coupons for 20% off at least. I got two for Barnes and Noble and with my membership I can get my Starbucks coffee for a lot less than the store brand. Books, magazines and chocolate. You know the necessities.

Double heck, Michaels just had Vannas Choice for $1.99. I doubt you'd get it cheaper.

I guess it shows how much I want to be there lol, but I subscribe to Mt. Shasta's Facebook page! I was watching the Christmas tree be put up and wanted to be there so badly!

Writer-Will the club post an official thread for the geometric shapes swap? I went through my yarn yesterday and put some aside for it.

Hello, fellow hookers! Sorry I have been MIA but have been working on other SWAPs, and have made several scarves, hats and headbands for people that have placed orders. It is finally getting to be cold her in Tennessee and everyone realizes they don't have anything to keep them warm and needs a scarf or head gear NOW! LOL

Have a few squares left to make but should have them done by the end of next week.

Kass... can you please PM me your address so when they are ready to ship, I can get them out. I will let you know when they go so you can expect them. I agree also to sending the extra square to the person that had to drop due to a family emergency.

The squares posted are beautiful! Writer... love the hats.

Here is the most recent headband/scarf set.

SWAP square:

I got a brilliant idea! I went with it... and here is the results for another square... Man! What was I thinking! I had to tack these on with glue to keep them in place before sewing them down. I really like how it came out and will do another to keep for myself but geez... the sewing and tails just about did me in! The background is a basic granny in Ivory Tweed. There are 30 individual leaves in purple, navy, forest, lettuce, terra cotta, bronze, burnt pumpkin and sungold.

Love the work, both the squares and the scarf/hat.
