Hello,

I just have a question. When it says "as many as there are participants in the swap" does that mean that your participants have to crochet say...15 squares each (because that is the number of participants you have in the swap)? I was interested in joining, but there's no way I could get 15 12-inch squares done in 2 months (I'm slow at crocheting and I would probably average 1 12 inch square a week. LOL I just wanted to ask this before I passed it by (to make sure I was understanding correctly).

Thank you =)

Yes you did understand correctly, we are at 15 right now so yes at least 15 12 in squares by Nov 30.

BtownChickmom-Love the way the variegated yarns work in those squares. Thank you.

Kassaundra-One of my chickens was Ruthie. I'm glad there is a Ruth among us.

I see no reason you can't just do a basic granny in a fall color, or a square in a solid color. I intend to do mine in just one color. I may change it if I have time. The last time I stuck to the same pattern since it was easier for me to remember.

I say give it a shot, you're sure to get better as you go along. IMO of course.

I'm not the leader, I understand.

I've done a couple of different patterns so far, and still like the classic granny square best. It works up quickly and lays flat. I just completed square #6. I'm already planning another granny afghan to use up all my scraps!

My favorite auther is Anne McCaffery she wrote a long series about dragons and dragon riders and one of the story lines involved a unique white dragon called Ruth, and her rider Jaxom. Jaxom had to help Ruth to hatch and all the odds were against both of them (Jaxom was not supose to be a dragonrider) anyway since both needed help hatching and then Jaxom got injured (the NN not the one in the book) and Ruth is still staying white it just seemed to fit.

Absolutely a set of basic granny in a solid color would be more then acceptable if CluckyCharms felt like (s)he had time and circumstance for that.

I'm at work today and was hoping to get some crocheting done, but so far that hasn't worked out, pesky roll over accident. Still have 18 hrs to go though so who knows.

Doing an experiment, instead of doing my sunset background in stripes, I'm working on a bullseye type light center working towards dark edges. May even expand it to an off set light center just to mix it up some.
