Hi,
I wish I could crochet, but does anyone do doilies? How about the pineapple pattern? I would love a couple and would gladly pay for them.
Thanks
Kat

I love making doily's. The project is super portable, and they make great gifts.

You can search free doily patterns online - there are hundreds!

I haven't made one in a while, but it was my favorite type of crochet for years.

Hi,
The reason I said I'd pay someone is because I don't know how to crochet, but I would love the pineapple pattern to sit on my end tables. I think they are so pretty. My mother used to have some she crocheted but I never learned, I did other crafts.

Rancher is this it?

Yep that's it. Iv'e been doing the center a red or squash orange color with green for two rows and then brown for the rest. I found a lighter brown for all but the last round and it looks nice. Michaels is the closest to me and they had Vanna's choice on sale. I've become partial to it for now. My guage is off so I dropped the last round of sc's. I'm using a smaller hook than the pattern calls for but may do one with an even smaller hook. I've got ten started. I did the center and the green borders. I bought a nice yellow yesterday that will make a nice center flower.

Well let see what you have in mind and what you do do and perhaps there can be a trade worked out. I have the thread needles at home. My GM crocheted and I think that's where I got my interest. I still miss her after all these years. As far as I know I'm the only one who does crochet out of 45 + grandchildren.

Do you have a pattern you can post. Even if you have the name of the pattern we may be able to find it on line. Doilies were more for function than look They protected the arms and backs of chairs from the oils on our bodies and hair. They also protected the tops of tables and dressers from water that got spilled in Vases and bottles of cologne.
