Thanks for all the well wishes. Its heartbreaking to say, but sometimes, despite all we do, its just not enough. She tried to pass another HUGE agg tonight and prolapsed again. I could not get the egg out, it was still wrapped up in "innerds"

I made a tough decision, but I think it was the right one. Hopefully, she is in a better place.

I did it myself. I have never done anything like it before. What a horrifying experience.

The only comfort here is knowing I gave her a chance and the best care I possibly could, and when I recognized it wasn't working, I did the right thing for the right reasons.

Awe, I am SO sorry to hear this happened again...how sad. I believe you did all you could as well, at least she isn't in pain anymore.

She died knowing you cared and did the best you could. That is important.

How does this sound:
The Sunrise Kid's Club would like to host a Geometric Shapes Granny Swap. The shapes can be any geometric shape you wish to make, in increments of 3 inches. For example a circle with a diameter of 3", 6", 9" whatever you choose up to 12". Flat sided geometric shapes such as squares, triangles, hexagons, etc. would be measured from side to side side such as 6" x 6" square. In the case of rectangles the sides would be 3" x 6" or 3" x 9", 6" x 9", as long as the sides are in multiples of 3.

Yarn may be any scrap yarn you choose to use as long as the size of the shape is correct. Colors are up to you. This is a club project for students ranging from 3rd - 6th grade, we only have donated yarn to work with which is why I am not going to set a specific yarn or color to work with. This swap will integrate math into their crochet work, and show them that math is a part of life no matter what you are doing and that it can be fun.

The entire idea of this swap is to have fun, make math fun, and give the students an opportunity to interact with others around the country that share their passion for crochet. I don't want to make it hard, have yarns or colors that are hard to find, and give folks a chance to use up some scraps while having fun with shapes.

It sounds great. I was wondering whether you'd incorporate math teaching into this & thought it a good opportunity to do so. I'm up for making as many items as I can as a donor, not a recipient this time. I'll be looking for the thread.
