I may need an intervention... Did a quick count and have around 50 ducks right now! No wonder my feed bills are through the roof!
Of those, about 10 are mules (Muscovy x Quacker) that will be processed, and five are Calls. I think I currently have I think 9 Quackers (two are for sale, and two are going to freezer camp) although a purebred Magpie drake is supposed to arrive next week, which leaves about 25 Scovies of various ages. I'm hoping to keep only 2 or 3 drakes with only 2 or 3 females each, selling the remaining females and processing the extra drakes.
So, hopefully, going into winter I should only have 6 Quackers and a maximum of 12 Scovies, plus the Calls.
