Awwww! Poor baby! Any idea why?

Best guess is the power outage. These eggs were at around 5 days incubation when the power went out for 60 hours. The other two seem okay though *knock on wood*

And yet another sad post. The chick that had trouble standing seems to have a spine deformity. The chipmunk pattern is all wonky to the side. It still can't stand up and refuses to open it's eyes.

I will unfortunately need to cull this one.

If the bill is the only issue, there still is a chance the duck could have a just normal life. I've seen far worse on here do okay

Just have to see if male or female, and a way to keep separate in case it's genetic.

You could always rehome it too, if it's a girl (or even a boy, idk how popular drake pet flocks are in your area). I honestly doubt it's genetic

Well, lets see how he does this week. If he can eat, then I'll give him a chance.

I think there's a strong chance it will be able to live a long, happy life with this deformity. Might be a more messy eater, but at least it'll be alive and happy

Oh poor baby.❤ I don't think it's bad enough to effect her eating and drinking, she can probably live a completely normal life.
