I think the niacin should be fine for the chickens. Drakes do not lay. Most breeds of ducks lay well.Ooh, so it could be done? Can the chickens eat niacin too? I would probably not have a drake, do they lay decently?

Female ducks are called ducks or hens. My drake has never had any problems around my chickens, and he just has one duck hen.I would be curious to see how a drake does with chickens if he had enough female ducks (is there a special name for them?) to keep him well occupied.
Surprised that what is a issue? The drake actually wanting to mate with them?but also... duck mating is super different from chicken mating so I'm surprised its even an issue?
yeah. idk what terms are acceptable to use here but in the vaguest terms, drakes go inside the duck hen whereas roosters just kinda mash up against the chicken hen. so I'd assume a drake trying to mate a chicken would be highly unfulfilling to the drakes mating drive. unless we are saying he umm makes it inside the chicken hen, in which case I could definitely see it being a big problem.Surprised that what is a issue? The drake actually wanting to mate with them?
