Yep. I started with heatplate, and glad I did. I'd never heard of heat lamps, but I'm glad. The amount of heat lamp horror stories I've read since joining BYC- *shudder*That's why I don't like heat lamps lol

That's really neat.I think so. Before the synthetic stuff, they actually originally used horse and pig pancreases and ground them up to extract the insulin for use in humans. I think that you can still find out how to do it, which is neat as all get out. I should look it up.
