thank you so much!! Oh it's tough isn't it, picking out breeds. I think I'm just about set now.. I still want some golden sebrights again though. May I ask what breeds you have?

I am on the market for some new chickens, since we are talking breeds. I want something predator adverse, good at foraging and a good layer. lol.

I have Red Sex Links, Easter Eggers, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Calico Princess, 1 Silver Laced Wyandottes, Golden Laced Wyandottes, Rhode Island Reds, Sapphire Gems, Salmon Faverolles, and Speckled Suusex.

I am on the market for some new chickens, since we are talking breeds. I want something predator adverse, good at foraging and a good layer. lol.

I'd recomend Speckled Sussex. I've read that they blend in because of their coloring. Mine seem to be good foragers. Probably pretty good layers.

Well...

Wow that's quite the list, I have 3 rhode island reds, I'm pretty partial to them. I somehow lucked out and mine are the type with floppy combs. They're just so sweet, and great layers. Speckled sussex are nice Those were the last breed I ordered from the hatchery years ago. Unfortunately they were picked off by predators. No more free range during spring probably.
