I got one of the chicken pens cleaned out. I'm taking a break before tackling the larger side with the perches. Chickens poop sooo much!!

is it weird or bad that my layers are eating layer feed AND free choice oyster shell?

Mine do that because I’m SUPER cautious about the quality of shell they lay. After have an EYP experience I will never let someone slip by without sufficient calcium. I’m happy to report that all my pullet eggs from JB have fantastic strong shells.

Miniature horses are SO cute!!!!!! I think that they're a great project. It makes sense that fencing would be an issue, though.

Wow, beautiful! What is the difference between Heritage Barred Rocks & regular Barred Rocks? Or is it just the name?
I love mine, I have a picture of my Great-Aunt feeding her Barred Rocks taken in the early 1900’s.

Heritage are better quality and come from better breeding lines.
