If you want something to protect your chickens, get a dog. A attack chicken may scare away children, but I don’t think it would work against adults. And to be honest, if the same person came back again I don’t think they would hesitate to kill the attacking one, too.

I keep my birds at my grandpa's house, so a dog wouldn't be an option. Plus there's no children that go on the property. My grandpa can hardly make it outside anymore.
