Ah ok.. I'll suggest that

I turned over the sand every few months but it got so soiled. Its probably just my dads fault, its been a year since we put it in there. he needs to change it

You have to replace anything you use after a certain amount of time. Just how it works.

I have straw for the ducks. They don't free range so that's why it's always so messy but I'm in the process of clearing out some area for them to move out this weekend
