Farm chatter

Does anyone else make gravestones fore their chickens? I did for my favorite one growing up named Happy Feet when she was attacked by a dog and I made a gravestone for her when I was like 8
A bunch of our chicks were attacked too and killed. Like the heads ripped off

No, I don't. I feed my dead birds to the coyotes.

I bury them and leave a large rock as a marker but wouldn’t consider that a gravestone.

What predator takes the entire bird with no trace, not even fathers or blood? And multiple at once.

This happened to me several years ago.

I have no foxes around here but I have a Bobcat.
I lost, what, eight in one night? Something like that.

It’s a mystery.
A Bobcat will do that. They also kill for sport.
It probably took them one, by one back to it's home.
