Some photos from the weekend. The heat is driving me crazy. It is unbearable in direct sun. I feel so bad for the poor chickens! Anyway.. Here are some pictures:

Partridge Silkie Pullet - 8 weeks old. I did not edit the picture in the slightest, because I wanted her colours to look exactly as they are. :)

Mmmm apples.

The meat kings were allowed out for their first day of free ranging on Saturday. They were 2 weeks old on Thursday.

Little fatties. There are some Red Sex Links in there as well. Electrolytes in the water for the heat.

Mmmm electrolytes ;)

6 Week old silkie

8 Week old silkie.

My cover for them to hide in and cool off. They spend almost the entire day in the woods.

Sweet Brown looks like she's checking out the silkie butt

Here is Sweet Brown again

One of the 6 week old White Naked Necks out for a stroll

Found the apple...

You talkin' to me?

Baby bunny (not really a baby.. we call her Baby Bunny).

Free range rabbit. They are not fed at all, and haven't been all summer. They are thriving!

Look at all those fluffy butts!

I really wish this picture was not so over exposed.

Really love the last one, of the kitten and the Houdan with matching colors. lol

What kind of temps are you getting up there?
It's 102 with the humidex today in Moncton, but is much hotter on our property due to the lack of breeze.

Someone posted a picture on their patio of their thermometer in our area - it is 108.

Today we have almost broken a month record since 1949. One degree off.

It would be better if we had AC.
