Farm Swap at TSC in Lewiston Maine- May 12th, 2012

bringing to the Lewiston swap:

9 or 10 week old bantam roosters only- including millie fluers, silver penciled, possibly barred cochin and golden laced cochin, and maybe an antwerp.

want to maybe rehome my guinea keets as they are not tame enoiugh for me. Tho I am not sure their age and there are only 4 of them but they are feathered out.

WANTING:

female bantam chicks or pullets

turkey- tho I only want 1 or 2 and as chicks....so if anyone lives in/near auburn or coudl sell me one or two after the swap?

guinea keet chicks- young as possible.

would love your guinea keets...so would some others

Yes, both my friend and I are looking for guinea keets (or adults). I was talking to Spottedbat about getting hers, but I haven't heard anything for a few days....

Have Black Spanish turkey poults located right in Buckfield that you can buy 1 or 2. Buckfield is not very far from Auburn.

I don't have any millie hens ( looking for some! pullets if anyone's got them) all my chicks were roos this year (once again) so they got to go as i already got a full grown millie roo- still waiting on a hen for him! The little millies are only 10 or 11 weeks now so still look bland. My avatar pic is of my adult- not the father- but he looked the same when he started out... I love millies- such beautiful birds!

not sure if I'm bringing the keets yet... I'm going to try my hardest to tame them- but maybe its a lost cause??? I want to see if I can't find some day olds to better imprint on them. seems everyone is looking for guineas....maybe someone would be able to go in on a hatchery order or something...as i only want like 3.... I like my birds handleable. But we'll see...

I have never been able to get my guineas to be relly friendly or tame...it's just the way they are. From what I have read, they really must be handled daily...and several times daily to get them anywhere close to tame. I just let mine free range and lock them up at night. They will run up to me for food, but I will run when you try to pick them up.
