Yes they can be broody. They aren't as broody as Cochins or Silkies, but I have a couple of LF broodies every year, and I let them brood right in the coop with everybody else and the flock raises the babies.

I am a few days behind on the thread (darn work and kid stuff gets in the wayI got these eggs from UA. They are supposed to be really good quality too. I will try again if I don't get any this time around. Its disappointing though. I will know better this weekend when they are candled. Cross your fingers for me.

We have a small county fair but our Trio won a Champion ribbon and the girl above won Grand Champion LF Junior Division.

Nice birds. Where did you get them? Love watching faverolles free ranging. The hens are really looking nice. They all look to have good type. Glad to see your free ranging them. Nothing better looking to me then a faverolles hen grazing.Faverolles help you cut your grass also. These were trimming around the milo.
