HI there,
Wondering if anyone in Maine has some bantam favs available.... I am having an extremely hard time finding them

I will get the LF if I need be but I really prefer the bantys. Thanks in advance!

Can I ask 2 questions?
First is about tame ness?

I had planned to buy some 3 week old favs but its been 2 months and still no sign of my order. They are short on eggs we are now in autumn.

I've just found some 10 week olds that are available now. 10 week olds apparently are already coming running when they go in the pen.

I am buying these foremost as pets will I really see much difference in tameness if I get them that bit older as 10 week olds rather than as 3 week olds that we can start handling that bit sooner?

Second question is on quality. - These are Australian Standards too I should mention I guess.

I havent seen either stock in person, both will be a 3-4 hr drive

this is the photos of their breeding stock from the 3 week old breeder

And this is the photos from the 10 week old breeder breeding stock plus 10 week olds in question
Sorry only photos I have

Is one stock obviously better quality than the other or of show quality?

At the moment I think we are going to go get the 10 week olds and i "think" his adult birds look pretty good quality but I would really appreciate imput from those more in the know about this breed.

I definitely like the pics from the older birds. The first pic has a weird comb, and her face seems awfully bare. The girls from the older bird seem nice.

Anyone else?

Thanks guys, the older chicks it is :) Will share some photos after Ive been and picked them up on the weekend. Rather excited been waiting a long time!!

Oh one more question. So at 10 weeks is there anything in particular I should be able to look for to make the best choice from the 20 candidates? I'd love to end up with at least one that's going to grow up show able.

Or is 10 weeks just too young to tell.
