Faverolles Thread

Am anticipating the lavender salmon splits cross. I have an idea what the males will look like but I don't know how the lavender gene will affect the salmon color of the hens. I know blue doesn't affect the salmon on the hens, but lavender!!! Can't wait.

Well, salmon is red based isn't it? So I assume it will be diluted some, along with the grey underfluff.

Oh yeah, uou saw my Sussex roo. One of the F1 boys I kept is the same size, and the other is even bigger! And they haven't even finished filling out yet. Luckily they are as docile as their dad.

I'd take some eggs, too - but you have to promise to take back my extras! I have nowhere to sell them. I am alone in my chickenness here.

I should take one of her first thing in the morning. Today she had a wet beard, but not quite as bad. Of course she was getting a drink when I went out for pics.

Yeah,I know, Got up this morning and before I could have my coffee I had to shovel a spot in front of the house to let the dog out. There's at least another 6" out there. Only good thing is that it's really fluffy. Cindy, I might have to get some Fav eggs from you. The birds you have came from the 12 hens I lost from that
raccoon. I believe you have just my line. Let me know.
