I think the mahogany Favs are gorgeous. Has anyone worked with mahogany bantams?
I think Leisha (comerspoultry) is, or was, working with them. She's probably the only one.

Did they get sexed chicks? Make sure when the body feathers come in that she is really a she. Cockerels feather in slowly, and I see some darker primaries on that chick. That doesn't mean anything yet, since hatcheries do produce some mismarked pullets.
Beautiful Faves!!Well here are my new babies! (or should I say teens)![]()
Three of the four have tail feathers missing as well as some chest and beard feathers but they were in a mixed pen with RIRx, Anconas and Guinea Fowl so I am optimistic it was some of those doing the feather plucking and not them pecking at each other and they will all feather back up nicely.
We ended up with two pale ones and two darker. Their ages range from 9-11 weeks. Here are photos of three of the four, the littlest one wouldnt get its head out of the other feed dish lol In fact they are all rather hungry this morning, they have not stopped eating since I let them out.
I would love opinions on how well we picked??? I tried to remember all those things I had to look forand the one standing up in the third photo (and the only one still with a tail) is I think the best of the bunch.
.
They're very cute, but I don't see a comb!? Can you get a pick of some toes?
