Hey guys I'm in VA and in need of a new Faverolles rooster. Mine is a year old and he has 7 hens and he isn't keeping them fertile. Out of 4 eggs 1 will be fertile

It might be the time of year.....short days will decrease fertility in roosters just as it affects egg laying in hens.

Has it been going on for a while? He could have low sex drive, but I think that's unusual!

I wish you were closer, I have 3 boys that can't get along. They grew up together, but suddenly they can't stand each other

So much for the bachelor pad, now they each have their own

You can PM Cloverleaf Farm to see if she knows of any. She's the breed club president. If you're after shipped eggs there's Cloverleaf Farm, PiperOmar, n8ivetxn (I think?), Cloverwood, and sandiklaws on this site. Ron Patterson is in IN and Duane Urch is in MN. Duane sells both chicks and eggs, and I would call him sooner rather than later because he sells out of everything fairly quickly. I haven't seen any of his birds though.

Lund Poultry also has Faverolles but I'm not sure if they are bantams or LF.

While wandering thru the poultry listings noticed that My Pet Chicken plans to have available in 2014, Blue Favcaunas. Our adorable birds with Blue/green eggs…..I wonder how different they will be so if and when the Blue/Black Splash Faverolles become more prominent that they wont be easily confused. Hope the body type is different……..It used to be said that there wasn't another bird colored like Salmon Favs…..but Wheaton Ameraucana's come fairly close.
