Nice pics Henry. Looks like you'll be off and running next season.
Dick

I agree Dick. Henry has a great start.

I am psyched hopefully I get 4 more to choose from next week so that will mean I have at least a dozen BBS chicks. I am glad I am getting a lot of blues it looks like they have different shades of blue in the down also that should be exciting to see how they turn out. There will be at least one more from this hatch its hatching now but hopefully I get a few more. The "british" salmons are due next week also only 3 made it this far they got scrambled during shipping.

Hey Dick
If I take my mahogany roo and breed it to a dark salmon hen, should i start getting mahoganys? This is just a thought about starting.

I know one person who has a mahogany hen in NH. They are such a beautiful color go for it

That hatch will be interesting to see. This hatch is 3rd or 4th generation from the british stock?

Umm I believe he said the parents were 3rd generation from British stock so this will be 4th.

Yes, it will work, that's what I was doing when I made them, but be careful, any salmon cockerels you get from the cross, you will have to get rid of them or keep them separated. They could screw up your salmon line. The pullets should be ok but I would put a special color band on them just in case. I didn't keep mine long enough so I don't know what could happen 2 or 3 years down the road.

I think I will try the mahogany line this fall. He got me going in the right direction on the buffs, now I'll try this. Why not I already have him.

Jackie has what she calls pumpkin color. Not really sure how she got this, but she showed them last year at the Ohio National and they are different.
