I am putting my LF Blue Salmon Faverolles eggs in the bator tonight! These will be my first and I am very excited! I am curious at what age I will beable to tell who is salmon, blue salmon and splash! Also I know the roos develop dark feathers but will this vary with the different colors as chicks? thanks

With the Salmons I can tell who's who at about 2 weeks when their back/wing feathers and chest feathers come in. The other colors I am assuming you have to do what you do with the other breeds and look at the comb and hackle feathers.

The pullets will all look similar. Only difference will be the fluff and tail color (grey/blue grey/white). Splash salmon cockerels will feather in mostly white with splotches of blue, grey or mahogany. Like this one.

And here's what he looked like at 4 months. He even has more mahogany now.

Salmon and blue salmon cockerels will look similar. Salmons will have black body feathers, blue salmons will have blue.

I hope everyone else is fairing well and any of you who hatched my eggies, I'd love a "follow up" if at all possible.
Take care, Happy Mother's Day to all the Ladies!
