He's got a bunch of red barring on him right now, but they change A LOT, so I'm on the edge of my seat to see what he's going to look like!

That's kind of what the black one I have is doing--he's looking all barred & stuff?

Yeah, he'll clear up. It's AMAZING how much the salmon boys change!!! That's why you'll read on here over and over to never cull the boys for their coloring until they are 8+ months old. I've just never seen so much red on a blue salmon...we'll have to see what it means....

beautiful boy Cloverleaf!

anyone on here have pics of what a frizzled salmon fav would look like? i got hatching eggs to try from someone that was selling some and i hatched out 2 little boys and both are looking like they have frizzled feathers! i hoping that color will change and tell me they are girls! toe placements on one is very good! the other has less desirable 4th-5th separation but still good looking! i'll get pics later today but they are hard to keep still enough with mom being very protective right now.

In the group of chicks that hatched this past week I have a LF Fav and I believe a Bantam Fav that each have a dark back. The one is very prominent the other a much smaller spot. I better keep notes and a photo diary to chronicle the change in appearance from peep to maturity. The very dark peep has acquired the nick name of smudge so the little one is fudge
