I have a question...


Next year i should be getting some bantam Partidge Brahams. How hard would it be to breed in double laced gold starting with salmon as the base colour? I love Salmon, and love the Faverolles, i also love bantam partidge Brahams. Any advice would be help full!

I have created my own strain of blue rosecombs when i was nine but i do not know anything about salmon color

i am guess it is gold? and not silver

For some reason that is beyond my understanding of genetics, if you used a salmon male and a partridge female, and then used a male from the first crossing back to a partridge female, you would get all the same mess of wheatens, and some partridge, but some females would also be a silver based partridge...

Just wanted to give you all a fair warning that I'll be joining you someday soon (hopefully).

I've got a Faverolles embryo! In fact, I have at least 7 of them! Closest I've ever been to one of your bearded chickens!

Just got a call from my neighbor - he is the only one that is somewhat close. My new Roo - Jagger - crows alot - in the morning non stop for 20-30 minutes and apparently non stop a couple times per the day. It was mentioned the roo's can be vocal - is this the normal "" vocal" or is he "special" . he has never complained about any of my chickens but apparently he can hear him clearly with closed windows in his house. Hoping maybe he is jsut settling in and will slow down on this - any words of experience within this vreed and roosters crowing???? He is a calm sweet guy - jsut a loud mouth! Thanks for the help - got the neighbor calm for now stating he was new and would calm down and quiet down
