I don't know if I'm supposed to mention non chicken websites here, but for all of the readers in this group, I have to tell you about
http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php
It is a free book swaping site. If you have a bunch of books sitting around that you have all ready read, just post them on PBS. People can look at your bookshelf and request books from you. You then send the book to them media mail. You do pay the postage, but then you can request any book on the site that you want, not just from the person that requested one from you, and they pay to mail the book to you. There is no minimum number of books to order, it is free to join. If you post 10 books they give you 2 credits free and you can order two books right away. The books you post still belong to you unless someone orders one from you. It is really simple, I am really bad at explaining things on the computer! You can post as many books as you want to get rid of. There is one lady on there with 6000 books!
There is over two million books to choose from, thousands of members all over the US.
And it isn't just paperbacks. Hardcover, childrens, cook books, gardening, home school, text books, you name it! There is also a forum like this one, but for books.
So anyhow, I love it. I have mailed 50+ books and have gotten more than that in return.
If you love to read, just check it out.
