Funny now, but I bet it wasn’t too funny when it happened. lol

Yeah, I had to wear the cast for about a week afterwards. It was light blue and the barf was red (not blood red but just...barf red?) So my cast at least looked patriotic . The coach purse did not make it, *sigh* it was white vegan leather trimmed with light blue.

The doc was pretty grossed out. My second cast had chicken crap on it from when I was cleaning the coop

Yeah, that’s Gizmo for ya, he’s a real cutie. He uses those ears like satellite dishes and when he knows he’s in trouble he drops them down.

The little Dachshund in the pic is TJ. He just passed 17 years old this year and he acts like a pup, with the exception of his hearing slowly worsening.

This year, I found this dog in a barn when I was buying some hay. She was in really bad shape when I found her, she had some scars and a couple of swollen bites, but after a couple of months she healed up and is a great little dog now. Her name is Molly, she‘s a blue heeler I think. Im not sure what her backstory is, but she has a cut tail, so maybe she was supposed to be a cattle dog?

My Aussie (she's the Rose in my username) just hit the ten year mark. She gets occasional stiffness when storms come but other than that she's no different from when she was two. Danny, my beagle mix, is half her age but looks and behaves a decade older

Cute doggies and yeah its funny how some dogs age well and some don’t. I guess it comes down to good genes same as with humans too.

If you go to the livestock conservancy website you can do a breeder search for hookbills. I don't know how current it is or if anyone has anything available this time of year, but last time I checked there were several breeders on there.

Hey, I checked on the website and I found a breeder just an hour away from where I live. Thanks for recommending that.

I left the poll open without a set limit. It seems to have really slowed down with just a couple of votes in the past few days. I would probably agree that Muscovy ducks are the champs. I may have to look at getting some with that amount of praise!
