There’s still three breeds out there that have not had a single vote yet. I knew that Aylesbury are sort of rare, but I’m surprised that Orpington and Ancona ducks haven’t been voted for.
Personally, the Aylesbury are kinda ugly to me (I rlly don't like their dumpyness) and I've never had Ancona (auto correct thinks I'm talking about Anacondas😂). But I have seven Buff Orpington ducks rn.

How well do you like your buff ducks?
They look cute but, they're... pointless. I know that sounds HORRIBLE, but they are medium weight, they only lay as many eggs as a Pekin, they are not friendly, they'll eat out of my hands but they flip when I move, and breathing on my part might actually give them a heart attack. I put a lot of time and effort into them but they're rude teenagers. I could probably keep them and be satisfied but i won't be passionate about breeding them or reaching breed standard or preserving a breed, they don't excite me.

Yeah, I can see what you mean there.

All ducks go through that teenage stage. All my ducks have been that way. When they fully mature they go back to being more social. Only my runners have stayed a bit skiddish. Ducks always surprise me. My most skiddish duckling, my drake, turned out to be my most social duck. He will let you pet him now. Before he hated being touched. You never know how they will turn out in the end.
