Its acually kinda funny if you think about it,no don't drink good milk but yes you can smoke,drink and eat all the garbage in american processed food....

We've come a long way to understanding what causes illnesses if you drink raw milk. Dairies that produce raw milk are meticulously clean and follow the safety regulations - and I daresay small farmers raise their dairy cows in a far more humane and natural way than the big dairies that sell to the industrial milk production machine. The problem is raw milk is a huge threat to that machine, and they're all running scared. I buy raw milk at a local farm, and no one has been sickened there, the standards here in Massachusetts are very strict, stricter than neighboring Connecticut, the farm adheres to them - and their milk is delicious. Cheap, too, $3 a gallon, bring your own container. As Paula said, follow the money, that's what's driving the push against raw milk, not public health. That's just something they wave in the air to justify their actions.

Does any one have a site that sells raw milk I live in Kansas and I am not sure where to start looking, when I was a kid we drank fresh goats milk and we loved it, it took me years to get used to milk again and I still don't drink it because I hate the taste when the store has organic milk marked down I buy that and my family loves it I would really like to try raw milk again, I still shake the milk jug and i didn't know why until i remembered the goats milk and we did have a cow for a short time so that is where I got doing that from and still do it lol even if I couldn't remember why, I am raising chickens and growing my own garden to get away from all the additives they put into food now days. I can't have a goat or a cow I live in town but I am working on moving to Texas to get a farm and when I do I will be raising all our own food I really think the government is getting to big for the small farms they want us to buy everything from the big producers when farms went belly up big corporation bought them and now the big companies own more farm land then the local farmers who are still struggling to compete with them it is really sad.

Yay Profiteering!

Okay I understand selling a product and wanting to make a profit on what you sell. A lot of farmers however, to be competitive, have to undersell themselves and their products. That isn't fair because farmers make a living on what they grow/raise and sell. Well, at least they used to. Now a lot of small farmers may have a job (or two) off the farm in order to support themselves. Farmers either have to over charge on their goods and risk people going to the super market instead, or undercharge and find another way to support themselves. They may not have to buy as much food, but land, utilities, gasoline, buildings and animals cost money too, and a lot of it. Some farmers wouldn't live too long if they lost their farm. Depression and heartbreak can shorten your life a lot.

If I had the money, I would try to have a farm. I like the feeling of being able to take care of myself and support myself.
If someone wanted some goods from my farm that the state or the Feds told me I couldn't sell, I would have people come get it themselves. I'd show them how to milk a cow (not really all that hard to do) and call it 'self serve milk'. If they wanted eggs, they can come feed the chickens, or clean the coop. For their work, they get their eggs.
I'd have to win big in the lotto in order to have a farm like that, and be able to keep it running though.

Someone posted this on a local forum I frequent. They were all pretty upset about it too..
I saw someone on craigslist selling goats milk. I thought that wasnt legal? I wanted to email him and tell them to be careful! but I didnt..








Does raw milk take some getting use to? ...not taste wise but digestion

Go to Real Milk for information regarding local raw milk sources, legislation information and anything else to do with consuming raw milk and raw milk products. There are many out there fighting for your right to drink farm-fresh raw milk, join them if it's important to you. It's very important to me!

just found some farms here in Kansas that sell's raw milk it is $6-$7 a gallon there is no way I could afford that and it has to be sold on the farm, so there goes that idea. with the gas and price of milk there is no way to afford it, I need to find a farm to buy then I could just grow all my own food.

The OP regarding the FDA raid...it irks me, too. I agree that they really need to be focusing on more important things!
