Feather growth after depluming mites?

I'm glad the ivermectin worked. That is what I have treated my birds with recently since I am pretty sure it is depluming mites based off the severe feather loss and no visible bugs on the birds. I'm hoping after a good molt my birds are better.

I never saw any visible bugs on my birds either, just looked like they were scratching at themselves with their beaks more often than normal and pulling their own feathers out. What I had read before is depluming mites are like scabies in birds so you won't see any bugs and they don't lay eggs either so no build-up on the skin either. They stopped scratching and pulling out feathers within 48 hrs of the first treatment so feather loss stopped at that time too except for a few damaged feathers falling out and then I gave them scrambled eggs every Saturday for a month to increase protein but I'm not sure if that really helped cause I didn't see feather growth until they stopped laying to brood.

Hello there, one of my Silkies has depluming mites. It took me a little while to identify what was going on because as you know there are no visible mites. She was suffering quite badly and so I sprayed a little permethrin on her neck (the mites are on her face and neck) and this had an effect within one day and she is more comfortable. However, she is not cured. I don't know where to get Ivermectin as it is prescription only. I have heard that a sulphur bath, which I interpreted to be a dilute solution of sulphur can help, I have to be especially careful because her face is affected. Has anybody used this method and if so, what would the dilution be. I really want her to get better because it is very distressing, her eyes get stuck together overnight and I have to wash them to get them open each morning.

I have read sulphur in the dust form. You can hang it in cheesecloth or stockings so they brush against it. I haven't seen any info on a liquid form.
