That chick is darker than splash generally goes, it's just a lighter blue. It happens! Congrats on your new little one! 😊

As for your other one, it looks fine to me. A truly dried membrane has a yellowish look to it, not that whitish, papery appearance. If it only pipped at 3am, it may not progress any further for several more hours. It is hard, but I'd keep my hands off it for at least that much longer. If you do decide to intervene, just remember to go SLOWLY, and immediately put it back if you see ANY sign of blood whatsoever!
I went ahead and helped it. Around the pip it was brownish yellow. It seems fine. I have 2 chicks now. Not going to intervene unless and egg has been pipped for 24 hours. I just had a bad gut feeling on that one.

The new one seems darker. @Fluffy Lambs Do you have any name suggestions?

Aww they are so cute!

As far as helping that one, I think sometimes it’s best to go with your gut! Good call!
It probably would have been fine. Well! There is another in the same condition. We will see if it lives and hatches. If it doesnt hatch tonight then I'll assist in the morning.
