So... I decided to be stupid and help egg 6. My brother and sister agreed that we should crack it around the end so all it has to do is push itself out. So we did but we broke a blood vessel. It clotted quickly and he only lost a few drops. So he pushes himself out and of course there is a little blood in the egg and his naval is bleeding. But like before it clotted quickly. I think he'll be ok. No promises, but I think.

No. Blues are not that light. Heres my blue as a chick.

This is not to say all are born like this in coloring, they are however darker then that, and that looks splash.

No, yours is a very dark Blue, but that doesn't make FeatherFeetFarm's chick Splash by comparison. Splash chicks look almost white with just a tiny hint of grayishness to them, easily confused for recessive white. Blue comes on a spectrum from really light like that chick to so dark that it's almost Black.

As an example, here is a light Blue chick I hatched last year that was similar to the chick in question, and him once he'd feathered out.

Yes, but theirs is much lighter then that.

I think its possible its splash. It could get darker when it gets older, and probably will.

I would like to note: Its “very dark” because she wasn’t newborn in that photo, so she will be darker because shes older. (As i had said)

I’ve hatched out some lighter blues from BBS Marans. One I can recall became a beautiful medium blue color. She was almost laced too. With darker blue on the very edges of her feathers. Beautiful bird!
