That’s a bummer but it wasn’t in vain. There is a lot to be learned by hard lessons.Egg 11 died. It hadnt absorbed all of its vessels or yolk. I think it heard the other chicks chirping and thought it was time to get out. So his naval started to close but he still had yolk and veins left to absorb.
That’s how I learned not to rush in with an assisted hatch. By interfering way too soon and killing an otherwise healthy chick. It was heartbreaking but I learned from it. Even now, years later, I remember that one chick and what it’s incredibly short life taught me.
