Feather's Full Bator, Two Month, Cochin Bantam, Hatchalong! If youre not in excited by this, I dont know what excites you!

That being said, it adds up now. It never has a true stable temperature or humidity. I was changing it all through lockdown. It kept spiking really high.
What was spiking the temp or humidity?

With that incubator it sounds like you’re actually doing pretty good to hatch anything! It tough to get those numbers but I completely understand starting out with a budget incubator. You’ll learn a lot. If you can hatch in those you can hatch in anything!

Only lord knows. I am an American so I dont understand Celsius the best, but that is what my bator uses. I know it got up to like 41 degrees celsius during lockdown. The humidity got pretty low. That is if my hydrometer that I bought works. My incubator was reading one temp and the hydrometer was reading another.

Yeah! My hydrometer went out in it this year. Im trying to save up for an NR 360. TSC has them for $150. I bought mine for $60. I never need a lot of chicks. I hatch for personal use. One time I hatched for a friend. My grandpa actually bought this one for me after a terrible broody hen experience. Speaking of broody hen, I did say this would be a two month hatch a long!

It was not supposed to happen, but it did. My broody hen, Plum, is sitting on 6 viable eggs. 2 are on day 0, 2 are on day 1, and 2 are on day 2. The ones on day 2 have very good veins. I was gone and did not collect eggs. Therefore it is my fault. This broody hen has only had one chance to brood. She was less then a year. Many of her eggs were smashed, but she was in the main box. 1 chick hatched, and I was stupid and left her in the main coop. Another hen pecked and killed it. So I havent had the greatest experience with this hen. However, I am going to do it differently this time. She is in the second favorite box. On day 14 for the oldest eggs, I am going to move her to the new coop. Hopefully she doesnt argue.

Woohoo, that's exciting! I hope the transition to the new coop goes smoothly so that she can safely raise her babies there. :fl

I'm sitting at 15 babies at the moment, with a 16th working on hatching now. I think the last three eggs are goners, but I'm pretty happy with what I got considering most of these eggs were shipped. :love I haven't taken stock of how many are silkied Blue and how many are silkied Black yet, but there are 12 of those varieties, plus three Chocolates and the last one to hatch should be a Chocolate Cuckoo.
