I can't WAIT to get them in the brooder! Gag!!

all my eggs have been shipped- a few tips for shipped eggs: after unpacking, let them sit with pointed end down for 6-12 hours. Use an egg carton if you have one. Then you can put them in the bator. I always set my eggs pointed end down in the bator, no turning for the first 5-7 days- it gives air cells time to settle & chick to develope. Good luck!I
I have my bator running and all the BCM eggs waiting till morning to go in. All my eggs arived in very good shape I just hope they didn't get too cold in the mail. I'm trying to figure out how to attach a pic to these posts can anyone help, ah I think I just figured it out! I tried to and it said I don't have permission to attach?

Hi everyone... Finally, my Serama eggs came! For shipped eggs, I know they recommend letting them sit all night with fat ends down? Should I do this?

Big end is always up!!! Once you put them in the incubator tomorrow do not start turning them for 5-7 days. Just let them start cooking without moving. Serama eggs are more fragile than normal eggs and this seems to help them get a better start.

You don't have enough posts on the forum to post pictures yet. I think the magic number is 50.

I did have 2 eggs that I couldn't realy see a small or big end on. the were the same on both ends I just had to pic an end and go with it.

You can candle and look for the end the air cell is on. You want the air cell UP.

OH IT IS FUNNY in a way ,,,laugh or cry I mostly JUST couldnt watch

Well funny but in a stress what -do- i-do-now? way.
Always a moment like that it seems in every hatch I dont know why.
Yeah these little devils climbing all over the eggs and rolling them so tiny why are they so strong.? One actually did get up on a egg like it was a circus ball stood up like a roo would!
HE was off before i got the camera. What a pic!.And getting the eggs all wet from the wet wash rag. Climb on it them my poor AMS eggs and laying flat out like on a beach suntanning on top of f# 5.!!
LOL this is one of the reasons when the basque hatched I was moving them out of the bator not long hatching- they were climbing all over the ones zipping- I was so afraid they would impede the ones trying to get out. It was awful, but looking back it was funny too-

Mine are doing the same thing!!! LOL! But I don't want to open the incubator for fear of shrink wrapping the other 6 that are pipped!

Omg Rox, between the mess, goop, and eggs and the need to lay ON the eggs by the others and pecking at pipping all day I am mentally wore out!! Good luck to the rest of your hatch!!!!
