Ameraucana chick #4 has just popped the top off it's shell and is chirping cause it's still in the thing. Got two Australorp beaks sticking out of the shell, the 3rd has broken the shell but not progressed any further, and there are two more Ameraucanas which have cracked the shell but not any further and there are 3 eggs with no sign of a shell break yet, but then, today is the due date.

Yep, they are right Olive Egger. I am still wondering about few other abbreviations myself..but have nothing to do with chicks or eggs..soo here goes..don't laugh..I am not sure if it can be spelled out..if not..pm me.

Some people think that 25% is good for shipped eggs...I think that if you do like the post office says and label them properly, they don't shake them or toss them around. I will have to say there are those who do not put any markings on the box and you stand the chance of it not even making it in 3 days! We lost a $50 set of eggs because of the lack of labeling and they sat in the distribution wearhouse for 2 extra days!

We have chicky! At least one more behind this one not yet fluffy and an egg with a beak sticking out! But it is so hot here today - 35 c but humid too - thunder storm on the way.

If you are between day 1-18 you can pull the plugs, just don't change temp right away. Wait a couple hrs to see how it will do. IF you need to adjust, do it in small amounts.

Ok, I will do it when I am not planning on going anywhere so I can watch the temp and humidity!!! Thank you! They are doing better than I thought, when I candled last night I saw movement in 18 them!!!!!
