I have wigglers!

The kids were so excited to see the eggs moving that they went to bed early tonight in hopes of waking up to watch a couple of chicks hatch tomorrow hopefully. They aren't due until Tuesday but I am thinking that due to the still air incubation and having my temps a little higher, they are going to come a day earlier.....well. some of them at least.

It's silly how excited we all were to watch the eggs roll and wiggle. This is our first hatch. We've got 28 eggs that we set a couple of days ago and then I just did the math for eggs I have coming this week to set......um......abut 60. I'm so glad I built 3 incubators and the I have a friend that is going to drop off her "real" incubator....... I do have to loan out two of mine at the end of the month so I may end up having to build myself another one.......I hope the doctor I get the coolers from comes back from vacation and gets more meds before then! LOL

Congrats on everyone with the adorable babies!! I have an early arrival here myself. My three eggs which went into lockdown and looked good are actually due today (one due tomorrow since it was set a day after the rest) but I got one tiny little Serama baby hatched out last night! Pics to come soon It is white with some color down it's back...not fluffed enough to tell, but the color is light. It's name is AF Minion. I am thrilled...this Raquels first chick, and would be sired by a tricolor white/black/mille fleur cockerel I found a new home for due to lack of space for a bazillion boys. Very excited about this little one Now just waiting on the other two

Just finished cleaning out all the brooders again. The cho orp chicks are eating & drinking like crazy! I think they are not scratching & picking so much this morning- but hard to tell. I didn't see any kind of bugs on them, but again hard to tell. I just wish they'd hurry up and feather out! They look just awful! Did anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for me. I tried to find info by searching here on byc but have not really found anything or pics that look like mine

Lockdown for my 10 basque eggs. I actually put them in the hatch bator about 1am this morning-

here are some pic I took a few min ago of the cho orp chicks that are bald. I can see where some feathers are starting to come in- do you think this is just how they look when feathering out? The chicks are different ages & sizes some 2 wks, some 3 wks.

Day 21 ...nada. I do see a pice of shell i didnt notice below a LO that was supposed to hatch day before yesterday.It looks a little gooey so dont know what that is .I took the babies out 3 days ago???It was due the next day
Might be triyng to hatch.?
it is next to a BLRW but i am pretty sure its not from it. the 2 SFHs 2 BLRW and the LO from the Hens Choice are just sitting there so far

I have 8 Serama eggs in day 11 candled this morning ...only 1 looks like its grown . and doing well.

So, update:
I have 5 chicks that hatched! So far there is 1 buff, 1 splash, 1 partridge, and 2 lavenders! Except both of the lavenders hatched out really dark, so I'm thinking they might not be lavender. Karen did warn me on that.
6 pips beside that! And 8 inactive. But who knows, they might just be running late!
I will try and post pictures later, but for now I'm going back up to my incubator

I am so jealous choc orps OOOOHHHH !!! My last hacht they losttheir feathers and had bald spots One iswear he was akost naked.al lthe fuzz went and the feathers were so late!
He still has a naked leg but the rest came in ....!!gues its normal but dont know.
