OMG!!! I woke up to a pretty little yellow baby!!!! And 6 PIPS!!!!! I woke up about 2:30 and checked, and everything was still the same, so she made alot of progress between 2:30 and 5:30 this morning!!! Definately not going anywhere today unless I have too!!!! Here is a pic!

I knew I should have helped 13 last night. She didn't make it. I read tha assisted hatch thread and when it said "membranes darkening and tanning help) well...that was hours ago. I pulled the egg, chipped, poked a little, chipped some more. She was fully developed and expired in the shell. Now, do I mess with 17 and 19 from yesterday this time?!?!?! sorry 13

oh peachy I am so sorry. I wish we could do CPR and bring them back.

Not yet, but I can see a hole where one is moving inside, but the first one keeps moving them around LOL!!!!!! It is very active!!!! I have a total of 12 that has pipped, and number 10 is the one with the hole!!!!! I expect that to be the next one! Congrats on your first and almost second!!!!! This is so exciting!!! e

I saved #19. I turned the shower on hot, got bathroom steamy and grabbed her in the egg and went to explore. I chipped one piece of shell and I seen she was completely shrink wrapped. I used hot water on my finger tips to moisten her membrane til it was removable. Got her into a "half shell" and after another 30 mins she plopped out on her own. Weak at first but now traveling laps around the incubator! Thank you Hokan!!!

Just set up the BMA for the Serama eggs I'm setting tomorrow morning. BHep sent a whole ton of extras that sadly my incubator won't hold. Today when I was making sure all 12 fit in there it was pushing it, but I'm going to see if I can squeeze another 1 or 2 in there - I'm feeling like I'm deciding the life or death of these chicks, even though all the extra eggs will go to a friend with a larger incubator that will hold them all. So far I have 4 from each breeding pen. Hoping for some Frizzled Serama and some Silkied Serama!

When I went to bed last night I had 16 chicks and 6 eggs left to hatch! When I woke up this morning at 5:30 there were 21 babies in my incubator, so I have 1 egg left to hatch now. I would take the dry ones out but I can't tell how big a pip there is in the other egg, if any at all!!!! OMG!!!! I can't believe I actually did it!!!!!

My hatch is coming along slowly but surely. It's Day 21, and I have 2 fluffies in the brooder and three drying out and doing well in the bator. Still quite a few eggs left, but no pips that I can see. Except for one, the first one that pipped on day 19. It's having a lot of trouble. It's still alive, and has made a big pip. I tried to help last night and again this morning, but as soon as I chipped away a bit of the shell, I can see blood. The blood vessels simply aren't receding. So I wrapped it in a damp washcloth and returned it to the bator. It's a long shot.

Love hearing about everyone's hatches....keep on crackin!!
