February 2017 Hatch-a-long

That is such a sweet pic! Are they all sitting in a flower pot? Congrats on the great hatch!

My sweet daughter loves to make little scenes to put each hatch of chicks we have into. So we have a broken flower pot out front and she put some other stuff around it to make her backdrop. Here's a couple other fun ones she did.

I was feeling the same way... came in for a short coffee break - putting the finishing touches on the new laying hen digs and totally stressed myself out. Y'all need to live closer so we could take turns helping each other get projects done!

Are ducks hard to transition to new things like chickens are? I think the whole 'collect everyone at night and put them in the new house' process is going to be tough, but the hardest part will be the 'stink eye' they will all give me when I leave them there for a few days to imprint the new house into their collective psychies!

Ducks are much worse than chickens! Don't move that leaf right there!!!! Oh no, the feeder is a half-inch from where it was before... what will we do?!?!?

Mine are very cautious when anything is out of place, or anything new gets added.

I love how beautiful everyone sets the stage for photo ops.....I on the other hand am lucky to get a clean spot on the floor to snap one or two....

GREAT NEWS I got a CHICK!!! I was only away for about 45 min and I went to the room and it was popping itself out of the shell !!
