February 2022 Hatch-A-Long

Got a total of six eggs in various stages of hatching now. Much better than my last attempt already lol. It’s day 19 for the 5 Silkies, day 18 for the one araucana egg that’s pipped. Can’t see around the back to check the other Silkies yet which are the buff ones (day 18 for them too) but don’t wanna move it. Will take pics later.

So exciting and congrats! Most of my Silkies hatch on day 20, so expect chicks soon!

Lots of peeping I can hear. I’m so happy that it’s working better. My solo chick that hatched was a temperature issue with the incubator. Now have a seperate thermometer and needed to calibrate the incubator to an entire degree hotter and also keep the polystyrene on. I took off the bottom poly for hatching and just wrap it for cold nights but left the top half on.

Thank you! My partners the one which thought of it when I was thinking if only I had lego and he shipped out his childhood K’nex for me I only had a single hatch in my first shipped eggs lot so super excited now!

Quick thinking! That's awesome. Y'all definitely gave me an idea for my next hatch which I plan to separate for hatching. My 6 y/o has plenty of Legos to spare. That's so exciting! Super happy for you!

Just filled my NR360 with 22 eggs. All backyard mix from my own flock, the chicks will all be green/olive eggers. Super excited! First batch of the year Hatch date 21st
