What a nice mix of chicks you will get!Well, looks like I'm going to be hatching in February (Lord willing). I've been collecting a few Columbian Wyandotte eggs over the past few days to hopefully set next week, but I walked into the chicken house this morning and found the Columbian Wyandotte who had been laying the eggs (Twix) dead on the floor... so, yeah, I'm hoping that all three of the eggs I have of hers will hatch. Thankful that I have two pullets and a cockerel from last hatch that are her kids. I'll also set some Easter Egger eggs and probably some Welsummer eggs. Those will be mixed with Columbian Wyandotte.
Quick question (this may sound dumb, but I don't know the answer)- does distilled water go bad? I have some left from my September/October hatch and wondering if I can still use it, or if I should get new/"fresh" distilled water? Thanks!
Oh, and incubating with a Nurture Right 360.
I don’t think the water can go bad. I personally don’t use distilled water in my incubator. I boil water and let it cool down a bit. Seems to work fine, I haven’t had any problems. I also have an NR360.
